Medical Microneedling - FAQ

A) Medical microneedling (percutaneous collagen induction) is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that uses small, sterilised needles to prick the skin. The goal of microneedling is to achieve a controlled inflammatory reaction that generates collagen and elastin which improves smoothness, firmness and the tone of the skin.

A) Microneedling can help with the following:
-Scars, including acne scars
-Fine lines and wrinkles
-Enlarged pores
-Hyperpigmentation, or dark spots
-Uneven skin tone
-Stretch marks

A) In general, microneedling is well tolerated. We use a strong anaesthetic cream prior to our treatments to minimise discomfort.

A) It is normal to experience redness (which may look like sunburn) and irritation up to 1 week after the procedure.

A) Each session may last between 30 to 60 minutes. Though it varies from person to person, 3 to 6 sessions are usually necessary to achieve the best results.
